본질적으로 나의 비디오는 모호한 조작물이다. 나는 다큐멘터리 영상제작자도 사진가도 아니고, 그 중간 지대에 있는 듯하다. 그리고 내가 진행하는 대로 각 작업을 정리해간다. 드라마틱한 거짓 이야기를 꾸민다기보다는 가능한 진짜인 것처럼 보이게 하기 위해서 독창적인 방법을 찾으려 한다… 또한 어렸을 때부터 좋아했던 수공예적인 방법에 열중하고 있다.

Fundamentally my videos are all ambiguous fabrications. As neither a documentary filmmaker nor a photographer, I tend to be in limbo from the start, and insert lies in each piece as I go along. And when I say lies, I don’t mean throwing in dramatic falsehoods, but finding ingenious ways to make things seem as real as possible. I can throw myself into the handcraft I’ve loved since childhood.
