현실적인 내부 공간에 일상 사물을 닮은 오브제나 조각을 설치하고 그 위에 회화처럼 칠을 한다. 밝고 어두운 명암을 주고 그림자와 빛을 그린다. 그리고 사진으로 찍어 완성한다. 이렇게 완성되는 일련의 작업들은 꿈과 현실의 경계가 모호한 사진으로 완성되며 조각과 회화, 사진의 프로세스를 모두 거치며 장르를 넘나드는 환영을 보여준다. 이차원과 삼차원 그리고 꿈의 차원과 현실의 차원, 미술 장르 간의 차원들이 만들어내는 모호한 경계감은 감상에 따라 다르게 느껴지는 잡힐 듯 잡히지 않는 묘한 시각적 유희를 제공한다. 콤포지션 시리즈는 일상적인 정물이 비일상적으로 보이는 구성에 대한 연구 작업이다.

I install sculptures or objects that resemble ordinary things in real interior space and paint them like on a painting. I add bright and dark shading and paint shadows and light. Then I finish it by taking a picture. My series of works which pass through this process is completed as photographs that have unclear boundaries between dream and reality. By passing through the process of sculpture, painting, and photography, they show the illusion of crossing genres. The vague sense of a boundary, made by different perspectives between two dimensions and three dimensions; dream and reality; and artistic genres, offers a delicate visual amusement which feels different according to the method of appreciation and it isn’t easily caught but seems to be catchable. My Composition series is a research project about compositions that show ordinary objects as unusual things.
