Yeondoo Jung is an artist who searches the boundaries between reality and fantasy, using an artistic imagination in trivial experiences that occur in ordinary life with various media including photography, video, performance, and installation.
Yeondoo Jung has lived and worked in Seoul since 2000 after graduating in sculpture in Seoul National University and finished M.F.A. in Goldsmiths College, University of London. He has actively worked locally and internationally. He was one of representatives of Korean Pavilion in 2005 Venice Biennial and won the youngest awardees of “Artist of the Year” by National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea in 2007. He has many solo exhibitions all around the world and his works are collected by major museums including MoMA, Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.

정연두는 일상의 소소한 경험에 작가적인 상상력을 동원하며 사진, 영상, 퍼포먼스, 설치 등 다양한 매체를 이용하여, 실제와 환상의 경계를 탐색한다.
서울대학교 조소과와 런던대학 골드스미스 칼리지에서 석사를 마치고 2000년부터 현재까지 서울을 기점으로 국제적으로 활동하고 있다. 특히 2005년에는 베니스 비엔날레 한국관의 대표작가로 전시 하였고, 이후 국립현대미술관 올해의 작가에 최연소 작가로 선정되어 매체의 주목을 받았으며, 미국, 일본, 프랑스, 독일, 스페인 등지에서 다수의 개인전을 열었다. 그 밖에도 뉴욕 현대미술관, 삼성미술관 리움, 국립현대미술관 등 여러 미술관에서 정연두의 작품을 소장하고 있다.
